No this isn't an ad-hominem, because the person, and his actions are in question here not his position.

If he was talking about global warming and some on said that yes that would count as an ad-hominem but not in this case.

People are too often drawn into calling ad-hominems where the person in question is a material part of the issue and this is a logical fallacy. You won't tell some one commenting about Trump that they are making ad-hominems because, his experience, his world views and his personality are quite material to the debate.

This is not a formal debate.
It's still irrelevant to the question about the correctness of what he's saying.

If you don't care what he had to think, your comment is both paradoxical and non-contributive.

Are you saying that we therefore shouldn't mind the ad-hominem bias?
the entire concept about calling federal prosecutors adulterous is also an ad-hominem by those standards 8^)
