"dwb" is also webkit based but more minimal (Support for Adblocking, among other things)

and as an alternative: qutebrowser!
same concept as dwb but with Qt and not gtk for those who cares.
Thank you for the suggestion! I have so far loved the minimalistic feeling and intuitive keybindings for a vi-user.
