Wouldn't be more pertinent to compare the watch against a smartphone?

1. Server goes down

2. Smartphone tells you about it

3. You can decide

3-a. Reboot

3-b. Replace

3-c. Call ops team

Conclusion: Same same, and you still need the smartphone to use the watch. So not really that interesting.
