Genuinely thought this would be a blog post about the Julia language.
It clearly says "Julia the gorilla," not "Julia the programming language," or "Julia programming." :-P
I thought it might be a clever analogy or something like that :)
Me too! I have never written a line of Julia, but the headline indicated the language was about to die, and I was surprised how strong my "Oh no!" reaction was.

Apparently, I have great hopes for Julia and what it means to programming languages, even though I have only mostly skimmed articles about it.
