Pretty simple, wait until the new one comes out and buy it. One will probably come out in September/October if not earlier:

They're killing me. I'm going on a three-week overseas trip in September and I want a new laptop (old one is 2011 model with a dead battery on Mountain Lion that can't be upgraded). And here we are in August and no announcement and we're way past the average release date for everything but the 12" MacBook.
