He wanted to work on smaller games that could fail rather than massively hyped games where every off hand design decision comment becomes a major news cycle item in the gaming world. Yeah, I knew that he canceled it (it's also in the wiki link), but I thought it would have been picked up by other developers. And yes, Trillek seems dead unfortunately.
