GiveCampus (YC S15) seeks engineering lead in SF
GiveCampus is revolutionizing the way that schools raise money and engage their constituents. Our mission is to ensure schools advance the quality, the affordability, and the accessibility of education. We’re backed by some of the world’s top investors, including Y Combinator, and we’ve achieved 10X+ growth over the last two years. 1-2 new schools join our community every day, and we’re expanding our team to support their efforts and continue innovating. (You can read more about what we do, and how we do it, in The Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/grade-point/wp/2016/04/19/colleges-are-going-online-to-crowdsource-donations-and-theyre-raising-millions)
We are looking for a proven engineering leader in SF who wants to build an engineering team to complement the engineering team in our DC headquarters. We are currently still a small engineering team, so you'd be able to have an immediate impact, and work closely with the CTO to grow the team to keep up with our growth.
Key things we'll be looking for:
* Proven track record of leading and growing an engineering team. * A track record of balancing fast-and-dirty and long-term code maintainability.
Our stack is Ruby on Rails and moving to React on the front-end, so experience in both would be a big plus.
Please no recruiters of dev shops.
