GiveCampus (YC S15) seeks engineers who care about education

by mkong1·8y ago·view on hn ↗
GiveCampus builds software that schools raise money and engage their constituents. Our mission is to ensure schools advance the quality, affordability, and accessibility of education. We’re backed by some of the world’s top investors, including Y Combinator, and we’ve achieved 10X+ growth over the last two years. 1-2 new schools join our community every day, and we’re expanding our team to support their efforts and continue innovating. (You can read more about what we do, and how we do it, in The Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/grade-point/wp/2016/04/1...)

We are looking for proven engineers who are comfortable owning the process from ideation to deployment. We are currently still a small engineering team of 8, and you will get the opportunity to ship code that impacts hundreds of schools, and millions of donors.

Key things we'll be looking for:

* Proven track record of leading and growing an engineering team. * A track record of balancing fast-and-dirty and long-term code maintainability.

Our stack is Ruby on Rails and React, so experience in both would be a big plus. Send an email to careers@givecampus.com with a bit about why you care about education, and anything you're particularly proud of having created.

Please no recruiters of dev shops.
