I've worked from my house for 8 years now.

It saves gas, etc. I don't need the social aspect of work (I'm introverted). I really, really like working remotely.

But it's not for everybody. Sub-par performers especially will drag down productivity

So it's a mixed bag, IMHO. But for me, I love it.
