I think this is interesting in it's own right - but this in particular interests me:

"the titles will now be available [...] by subscription to libraries and higher education institutions, or for free at the library’s reading rooms in London and Yorkshire."

But not, I note, online for general consumption despite the BL being a public institution. Presumably because this is in collaboration with a commercial publisher. I assume that it will be correspondingly rights-encumbered to the extent possible.
