In my family, the chance element of Monopoly mitigates the fact that it is unbalanced - because it's a different 1 or 2 people every time.

I'm not sure how Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and Dominoes fall into that category for your family... are you usually playing with an imbalanced family? Half young children and half adult or something?
