I did see this bit of news last week (https://9to5mac.com/2020/07/28/apple-sold-out-of-standalone-...) where Apple Retail's direct supply of the monitors has run dry. But you can still find them (at least in the U.S.) through other common retailers like Best Buy and Amazon, so I wouldn't say they're officially discontinued (yet).
