Interesting that asking someone to provide proof to support accusations of racism earns one a down vote these days. I guess it's easier to make assertions and censor requests for proof than it would be to provide proof to support such strong accusations.
I expected better from HN.

I wasn't babysitting my comments so I didn't see your reply. But as another commenter noted, the issue is in the comment threads primarily. While the articles aren't overtly anti-Semitic you can quickly deduce the dog whistles based on the comments which are full of extreme bigotry. I used to read ZH every day and they eventually morphed into a clubhouse for the ignorant and as noted above, actively provoked those responses with coded language. I submitted numerous complaints to the site and never saw a comment taken down or any behavior change from the top so I turned my back on the site and haven't looked back.
fair enough. Sorry if it seemed like I was implying you down voted me. I do see your point about the comments on ZH, but honestly HN is a rare site that still generates high quality comments and doesn't have a bot infiltration problem poisoning the comment sections to serve another agenda. So you are right but as you probably agree policing a site's comment section can be tricky in our current climate.
