It is indeed. Curious what the US usage/percentage is.

According to the New England Journal of Medicine, 80% of antibiotics in the US are used in animals.

But that's less total antibiotics, which totals only around 18,000 tonnes. (Assuming that the data are comparable, which I wouldn't guarantee.)
