"Coinbase is experiencing another outage of its website and mobile apps, a reoccurrence of a problem that seems to plague the leading cryptocurrency exchange whenever bitcoin’s price and volume spike."

To be fair, this happened a bunch with more traditional stock brokers in 2020. Most notably was Robinhood (definitely not a traditional broker), which seemed to go down every few days at the beginning of the pandemic.

Comically, it was obvious how many trading bots were not made to support a circuit breaker because the spread between the bid/ask exploded for an hour or two after the first breaker was triggered.

Everybody is trying to sell.. This always happens during a crash.. Its crashing, but you cant get your money out. The bullish people who went into bitcoin forgot the fact that the exchanges are not "Bitcoin decentralized technology" They are just plain old centralized servers that will go down.

If bitcoin prices drops, you're stuck.
