How is Australia evidence that lockdowns work when every country in the world had them, and almost all of them worked out much worse than Australia?

I think countries like Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, and South Korea show that lockdowns can be very effective at stopping spread. However, I think countries like Germany are currently showing us that just because it’s called a lockdown, doesn’t mean it’s effective. See also, California ending lockdowns while still having a high positivity rate.
Because Australia (and Wuhan) had strict lockdowns and finees whereas other countries had barely any enforcement or punishments.
