I am amused to see this machine on HackerNews in 2021. I wrote the original Wikipedia article about it, 17 years ago.
Some years later, I got to play with actual hardware thanks to the Binary Dinosaurs collection at a retrocomputing fair in Croydon UK, and mentioned to its owner that this was the first time I'd seen one, although I wrote an article about it. He regarded this as typical for Wikipedia... :-/
I'd like to see more on why the author of this emulator decided to start completely from scratch, since there are multiple other Z80 emulation cores and so on out there, and were even back in 1998.
