I'm always surprised this guy isn't more well known. If we're indeed living in a second Gilded Age, it's hard to imagine a writer more due for a renaissance.
He has a type of economic good named for him

He is due for a renaissance. He is well known but certainly under-read.
Veblen is well known to anyone who went to college and took a sociology course (he and C. Wright Mills)
