lot of content in the book seems focused on Freud being spectacularly wrong. this isn't news. Freud's contribution was formalizing a method for psycho analysis. anything else on Freud should be dismissed - thought that has already been established during the middle of last century. no idea why this book spins this into a regurgitated article on what any Dostoevsky fan is already aware. Using the name Dostoevsky in your book title seems like a strategy to piggyback as a wannabe writer.
Morson is a well-known scholar of Russian literature. A number of his articles have appeared on HN before. They seem pretty good for non-specialist readers.
This article doesn't focus unduly on Freud, to judge by a quick "cmd+f" in the browser.
It's a biography, shouldn't the title include name of the person it is about?
