My mother just completed her memoir about her career as an anthropologist and archaeologist. It will be published early in 2022 by the University of Nebraska Press as "Girl Archaeologist: Sisterhood in a Sexist Profession", if you're interested in the experiences of women anthropologists of her generation (Harvard Ph.D. 1964). Needless to say, I had an interesting childhood with her, never realizing what challenges she was facing.
