I'm fairly sure this was on CITV around 2001ish, or whatever predated CBeebies on analogue telly.

Before digital TV (2002), we had just 5 channels in most of Britain.
CBBC existed as a brand, but was a few hours of content on either BBC 1 or BBC 2 (I can't remember) broadcast at suitable times.
Varied. Had Philip Schofield in a tiny self operated studio (“broom cupboard”) doing the links from the mid 80s, before then childrens TV still existed of course just without the links.
