This is unapproachable hindrance for the most normal users who will be forced to buy new computer despite having a perfectly capable PCs already. Most of them will never even know that their machine is supported.
If you have a blank/empty TPM header on your mobo, you can just buy any brand of TPM module that is the compliant version and be compliant, right? You don't need to buy the ASRock module for an ASRock board, correct?
My understanding is a tpm should be fully possible for firmware to virtualize... You obviously won't have the tamper resistance guarantees anymore, but windows should run and work fine with it.
Has anyone built this?
