Not sure I like this. There are tons of issues in the current system. I think many of them would carry over when you look at how the current issues happen. We would likely end up with parties and politicians manipulating algorithms, gaming the system, providing misinformation, etc. Not too far off from the current situation.
I think it's pretty ridiculous. There is no reason to believe (and several reasons to doubt) that algorithms are any better or more fair than humans.
I think they abide by the garbage-in-garbage-out paradigm. If a dumb (or malicious/biased) human makes it, then you have a dumb algorithm.
Young people haven't been on the receiving end of enough algorithms.
