American Conservatives: I understand this is seen as a right vs left issue over there in a way that it just isn't in Europe, but this is way out of hand. What exactly is going on over there?

There’s an argument that the only reason it isn’t in the UK is Boris’s near-death experience; prior to that he has kind of trying to take the Trump/Bolsonaro “it’s just a cold” approach, though it’s less clear that British people would’ve bought it.
