I help R&D teams crystallize their knowledge into software. As an example, I have recently finished developing an application for a Belgian laboratory to aid in the analysis of chemical samples (they love the software and are probably willing to tell about me if you feel like asking them).
Skills:
- Software project stewardship: I make sure the necessary stakeholders get involved, regularly gather their feedback, help them balance priorities, and periodically demo the status of the project (I am a Certified Scrum Product Owner, though I owe this skill more to experience than to a training)
- Knowledge sharing: I am able to condense my knowledge in the form of trainings, presentations, and individual mentoring.
- Excellent programming skills: I make sure the software adheres to best practices, like version control, automated testing and Docker-based deployments (this all might seem obvious to people here, but it is not at all self-evident for my usual clients).
- Native Dutch and Spanish speaker: my experience is that speaking with non-technical people in their native language is a very welcome way of lowering the communication barrier.
Technologies: I can probably use whatever technology you want me to, given a bit of time to pick it up. Still, I feel most comfortable with:
- .NET Core (ASP Core, EntityFramework, etc) + PostgreSQL
- Angular
- Rust (I know the language inside out and was an early contributor, though I would need to brush up my knowledge of the ecosystem to get up to speed with the current libraries)
- Google Cloud Platform + Docker Containers on Google Cloud Run
