I always find the nature of Tierra del Fuego kind of funny in old maps like this. So many ships navigating the treacherous Strait of Magellan instead of going the other way around the Island and going South passed Cape Horn. All because they'd assumed that Tierra del Fuego was much larger than it was in actuality - some massive landmass or even a part of Antarctica itself, as shown here.

Some of the names are easy to recognize:

アンギリア = Anglia
アンダルシア = Andalusia
カステラ = Castile
イスハニア = Hispania
...
... and looks like Mexico is "Nova Hispania"?Mexico was the Viceroyalty of New Spain before its independence as the Mexican Empire.
