I do wonder why there isn't an open source graphing calculator.
Unless there is?
Granted, the unchanging nature of a TI calc is part of the appeal.

I'm not sure if they were ever open source friendly in the past, but they most definitely are not today. The hardware is tivoized and the source code's license is literally "all rights reserved".
Problem is, how do you get the non-TI calculator approved for taking tests?
