The article is about the practice of dueling and the social construct of honor. I got suckered into reading it thinking it would be about Venezia, but Casanova is only in it for a few paragraphs.
The Most Serene Republic of Venice is not exactly the first historical state that comes to mind when I think of the word "honor"...
