This is one of the reasons that mRNA vaccines are so exciting for me. Exposing the body to an attenuated virus means the body can make any number of possible antibodies to target any number of sites on the virus. This risks less effective antibodies being the first to take hold, as well as dangerous autoantibodies.

By providing a target protein via mRNA, you restrict the target surface and will have far less variability of the antibodies. This makes screening the risks of autoantibodies much better during safety trials and all but guaranteeing everyone gets the most effective antibodies. It also means that in order to evolve to evade the antibodies, the virus cannot just mutate the shell and maintain its effectiveness. The only path left is to modify the spike protein and trade spike effectiveness for immune evasion.
