Interesting...perhaps Walmart has gotten sick and tired of endless E. coli recalls of lettuce, due to conventional agriculture being utterly unable to get its sh*t together on food safety? Or - are they more concerned that climate change will make supplies of conventionally-grown fresh produce unreliable?

The article has a fair amount of hype - but seems quite aware that neither indoor farming nor vertical farming are new. And that only certain narrow categories of crops can be economically grown in such ways.
