OT but related: I've been exploring what a spectrum-centered introduction to light-and-color might look like, and making it accessible young using web interactives. Color is widely taught kindergarten on, but with less-than-wonderful outcomes - even first-tier physical-sciences graduate students often have fundamental misconceptions. If anyone is interested, it could be fun to chat.
