I remember when this came out and there was a buzz about what the NBL was. He was thinking server-side JavaScript and he was right, although some of the features he list we’re still waiting for.

I also remember when Stevie stopped writing because while 99% of us loved his wit, insight and writing style, there was 1% who almost literally lit themselves on fire (or tried to light him on fire) over the most petty perceived injustice to their tiny little notions of truth in all things such as Perl is beautiful.
