Along with "Major breakthrough in battery technology," this is a headline I read at least once every six months yet never actually see any tangible evidence of.

I know it seems like those battery “breakthroughs” don’t pan out but in fact a lot of them do eventually get incorporated into commercial batteries. It mostly produces incremental improvements but if you look back at batteries you can see the changes.
