Well, I guess Irwindale finally got what it wanted [0], and it only took climate change and supply chain shortages to get it. This is just another demarcation of where we are in terms of climate change, given the most recent thread on the matter I fear that while many are aware very few will actually do much to change their consumption habits until something like this takes place and supplies just run out.

It was mentioned that Humans never learn from foresight, but mainly learn from reactionary consequences. I fear that for those of us who spent so much time and effort in order to avert this situation that we may find ourselves in this situation regardless.

For those of us from SoCal it will be odd to pass by and not get a whiff this place from the freeway for a while, but it's also a stark reminder of how things change.
