It is a matter of affording it, and upgrading from a lesser card. Bitcoin miners bought out all of the GPUs and now that Bitcoin went bust they are selling them cheap on eBay. I am waiting for the next gen GPU to come out before I buy the RTX cards because they will be reduced in price.

$900 is the price for an RTX card, you can buy a good PC system with that money or three video game consoles.
