Really the second lowest form of art, either wish fulfillment, slander or both. They're only good when explicitly framed as wish fulfillment or slander.

It will never be the lowest form of art as long as the biopic still exists, though, which are simply conscious manipulations of the historical record for the sake of contemporary interests 98% of the time, and 2% of the time dramatized semi-verbatim transcripts of the historical record.
