crazy outcome of hostile de-globalisation might well be the mainstreaming of open source to reduce dependency on US controlled technology.
Their Linux will probably have a bunch of spyware in it so no one will care about it any more than North Korean or Chinese distros...
so long as its' domestic spyware I doubt many would care that much. The main issue is national security, maybe the one wall the players in this game might agree with
The Brazilian government did that back in the 2000s, wonder what became of it.
