I think assembly isn't a great way to do that.

If you are looking to set yourself apart to others in terms of applying to universities (I'm assuming) then I would focus on full-stack and making complete sites/apps that are engaging more than feature-rich.

Also, consider applying to your congressional district's Congressional App Challenge.
