There is a rumor that the Venus de Mio has its own entry in the Hichhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It used to consist of only one word: "Armless". But after 15 years of research by a contributor It was changed to "Mostly armless". (Sorry, had to do it)

This is the first time I hear that the Venus de Milo is (probably) holding an apple. Other websites either don't mention this at all or include a single sentence.

I would have imagined that there are only so many ways to make a hand in a specific position fit with the rest of the torso. So I'd like to know what the difficulties are.
