Personally I think their strategy is genius, given you have the money to perform it. In such a high risk, high cost, huge returns buisness as gaming you need to have a large spread and buying IPs for low and do something with it is probably the safest bet you can do to sure up against the risk you place in newer IPs. And being very hands-off with your dev studios seems like the way most wishes more of the large names publishers in gaming were.

But wasn't Tomb Raider recently owned by Square Enix?
