If Enterprise OO is classical French (fussy and complex), what would be the software equivalent of California cuisine (served as simply as possible)?

Local data, lightly transformed (with the occasional unexpected injection into a richer representation taking the place of herbs or chilies?), but most importantly, the key ingredient being the flavours of the solutions themselves?

First thing I thought of was Cantonese cooking which iirc has the philosophy of highlighting the taste and freshness of the main ingredients.
