Just a note; Illustrator does have some alternatives...
But Photoshop is still irreplaceable.

Can you suggest a good Illustrator alternative for Linux? I've tried a few and was never satisfied largely because the GUIs were very difficult to use. Perhaps I tried the wrong ones!
There is Inkscape, but honestly... There isn't anything i like.
Very few "front end" types in the Linux community.
Tell the vendor that you want a Linux version and will walk away otherwise.
