FYI: A stick of eels is 25 eels. A bind is 10 sticks.
The only thing I know is that most eels were imported from Hungary by hovercraft. It explains why sticks of eels were particularly expensive, and the reason why hovercrafts feature so prominently in English-Hungarian communication.
