When we talk about going dark we are talking about US viewers only right? I have no power to change SOPA so there is no point protesting to me.

This bill will not just affect those of us who live in the US. And there's not really any reason you can't send letters to US representatives anyways. At worst they might ignore them. Or, you can contact your country's ambassador to the US and ask them to weigh in on the matter.
These actions might not have any effect, but it's better than just throwing your hands up in the air.
I proudly join my fellow protesters in the US, despite living elsewhere. The ideals they defend are mine and I stand by their side.
Shouldn't we be secretly hoping it will pass so that these big US companies will have to move their operations overseas to our countries?
Bad legislation is contagious.
