Exactly. Nobody should be trusting Google with anything. Period. Between them reporting their users to the police and refusing to back down even when forced to publicly address their mistakes, their issues with 2FA/recovery codes, data-mining everything you host with them, etc, I don't know how anybody could ever be comfortable trusting them with their data.

Imao, zero-trust is the ideal, and Google is infinitely contrary to that standard no matter what way you look at it. I can't see a single positive to their "value" proposition unless you are an data exhibitionist who wants to pay a panopticon to disseminate your entire life to hungry marketers and throw you to the wolves the moment their ML/AI makes a non-discretionary case against you.
