I’m not sure for $0.99 I need this on iOS. I use iMessage for this and txt myself.
Oh yes. There are many alternatives. I've also emailed myself in the past. It often requires additional taps on the iPhone before getting to the actual writing (create a new email, choose address, etc). Shortcuts can help here, but I wanted a little additional freedom to introduce lightweight org mode markup, a toolbar, etc.
