Wouldn't assembly be the winner? Think about all the energy spent compiling, how many millions of times has gcc been compiled just so it can compile tcl millions of times just so it can interpret the same script millions of times?

Obviously yes, but not sexy enough.
Also, I think this list is quite a few years old as I am sure I have seen it before.
I find assembly rather sexy, but I come from an electronics background and assembly is very much like playing with CMOS logic and rather intuitive for me. I also love forth and other stack based languages.
I just assume everything I see on the internet is old and tired but if it is new to me that is good enough.
