A realtime acoustic bird classification system for the Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+, and 0W2 built on the TFLite version of BirdNET.
Thanks for sharing. I am planning to look into BirdNet Lite soon as I just installed a front porch camera and noticed it picks up the birds quite well.
Unfortunately, I don’t have another Pi around so I’m not sure I’ll be able to use this implementation.
I’m hoping it won’t be too much trouble to feed the program a video file (or it won’t be too difficult extracting the audio from the video file).
Things like this and hyper local weather are really neat imho and useful to individuals and maybe even science.
I'll have to check out the lite version, thanks for mentioning that. rpilocator.com is a helpful tool for finding Pis for sale, but unless you're willing to settle for the Zero 2W it can be a long wait to see a 4b or 3b on there.
