If you want the simplicity of pressing a button on keyfob or just walking up and opening the door with NFC unlock, then by design something is going to be draining the battery very slowly.
The fact that that can't run off of some auxiliary battery pack that can die without killing your starter battery is just silly.

Much better just to have a backup key system to unlock the door, but still have the car start.

some cars have a long-term sleep mode. you pull the handle to switch the keyless stuff back on. this still drains the battery, but even slower.

of course, that can malfunction also.
