The article is from 2020, when Al Jaffee announced his retirement. He died in April 2023 at the age of 102.

Cartoonist Brian Carroll (of "Two Party Opera") celebrated him a few days later with a special "One dollar bill":

This is much nicer on mobile than the other one recently posted [0] but it’s a bit to easy to trigger. I keep triggering it accidentally when performing gestures like scrolling and pinch-zooming.

I'm the OP for post [0], and I feel the need to explain myself: I made that fold-in 2 days ago just for fun, but then it became a timely joke. So, I scrambled very quickly to throw it into an HTML page with basic CSS so I could post to HN.

I don't have any CSS media queries to make it better on the desktop, but I'm going to copy Thomas Park's CSS to make it more usable in the future. Thanks for the critique!
